Situated in the county of Inverness-shire, Lake Affric is part of the larger Glen Affric region, which encompasses ancient Caledonian forests, rugged mountains, and pristine lochs. The lake itself stretches approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) in length, with a maximum width of about 1 kilometer (0.6 miles). Its depth reaches up to 45 meters (148 feet), adding to its allure.
